Chose a name for self...

The name given to me was a robotic kind. Finally got to the profile modification page which gives the option to choose a new name! Now I can spell my name!

Have pain in my...er..ear, left. May be effects of too loud a music are manifesting themselves. But loud thumping music is hypnotising. The techno music with pronounced bass and cymbol makes your feet tap mechanically. As if a puppet in the hands of the DJ God...

However my personal favourite is the distorted kind of music, with lot of noise (guitar) and metallic drums with a relaxed rhythm (not the 'and justice for all' kind mad race to hit the snare, the paddle and the cymbols relentlessly, where you can hardly distinguish the bass in the cycle). Purists frowns alright, but I rate 'Give in to Me'(MJ featuring guitarworks by Van Halen, for the ignoramus) a favourite of this genre. 'Enter Sandman' is another very close contender behind 'Nothing else matters'. But this list is not very long for my kind of soul stirring ballads. How I wish there could be lot more of this genre. In the name of rock you get one extreme of the headbanging ironmaiden-soundgardedn soundalikes, and the other extreme is the softsoft poprock, ruled for some ages by the likes of Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. Though they have been straddling the borders between pop rock(with Octapads;-)) and actual rock (with actual acoustic drums) quite frequently. There are not many numbers like 'Always' or 'Please Forgive Me' from them now. Similarly now you do not get another 'November Rain', the kind of numbers you would rewind and play in infinite loop. Or the 'Sweet Child of Mine'. Where is W Axl Rose? The Guns have fallen silent it seems.

There is a ColdPlay in between. But such occurences are very few and far in between. Hip Hop would rule the world it seems. Revenge of the underdogs!
